Formerly known as Davis Sales Company, Davis Decorative Hardware began as a father-son venture. In 1982, John F. “Jack” Davis Jr., an engineer, and his son Bert, a recent Millsaps College business graduate, launched the company by selling sandpaper to cabinet makers in the Baton Rouge area. They quickly identified a demand for functional items like drawer slides and screws.

By the early 2000s, the business expanded into Southeast Mississippi and New Orleans. Recognizing a growing need for high-quality decorative hardware, they began catering directly to homeowners, residential builders, and especially custom home builders. Our showrooms allow builders to send their clients to meet with expert design consultants to select the perfect finishing touches for their homes.

After Jack’s passing in 2016, his family and those who knew him fondly remember his warmth, humor, and the pride he took in the success of the business he helped build. His legacy continues through our commitment to service, quality, and community.
