The Lakes at Harveston Foundation House

In the heart of our community, a transformative project has been completed – The Lakes at Harveston Foundation House. This initiative is more than construction; it’s a commitment to building homes, enriching communities, and changing lives.

The Home Builders Foundation (HBF) was founded in 2002 to support the charitable efforts of the Home Builders Association of Greater Baton Rouge (HBA|GBR). HBF’s mission is to raise funds for families and children in need and since inception has raised over $22 million for local charities.

In an inspiring display of generosity, the home building industry and members of HBA|GBR contribute generously to each Foundation House, offering both materials and time to ensure successful construction at minimal cost. These Foundation Houses are subsequently put up for sale, with all proceeds channeled towards advancing HBF’s mission and benefiting a designated local community cause.

The 2024 Foundation House, located in The Lakes at Harveston, HBF Visionary Donor, and crafted by Dupree Construction Company, HBF Founder Donor, is serving a noble purpose – to support the Gardere Community Christian School. The school is an impactful institution in the Gardere Community serving families and children in need.
